This seems so much more action paced than the books. Nothing like the books at all. Also why are there monsters? I haven't finished the series yet but I don't think there are any creatures like that. I mean when I was reading the books I wondered why there were so few women at first, but as the story goes on that problem fades away. So stop changing genders of fucking characters! I understand that they genderswap when there are not enough female characters but for example, in the last three books of Dune most characters are women, there are so few men. But are they going to change those characters to men because there are not enough males in the story? I don't think so. I consider myself a feminist, but have some respect to the work of the author. I dont know how many will go see this in theaters, where it is right now, but come video this will be a swell and often pretty funny addition to any sensible couple's genre rotation (I had one big laugh and I won't say exactly what but it involved an ex president and that's all I will say, and how can you not smile when right after a breakup the bff-roommates swadle the main character and put a dvd of Eternal Sunshine in her arms.
